The results of this year's Primary School Leaving Examination will be announced on the 11th of November, which has become a date to mark in my calender ever since my brother famously proclaimed that he would better my score. My mother regards this as a distinct possibility, my father is quietly sceptical and I, for my part, am looking forward to his hour of tribulation.
