While these results will not lengthen my sojourn in Raffles Junior College, as it must have done for some of my other schoolmates, it must be remembered that the determination of eligibility for 'S' papers is a concomitant function of the promotional examinations. This then is the present worry as October draws to a close and November beckons. In the meantime, it seems that my ambitions have been cruelly dashed - I will never qualify as a seer, even by Trelawneysian standards.
